Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival: Night 1
[August 26th, 2010]
On August 26th and 27th, the Crag Law Center and the HRVRC will be hosting the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour. Originating in Nevada City, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival sprouted one common goal: to use film to inspire activism.
This will be the third time that the Wild & Scenic Film Festival has come to Hood River, Oregon. This year’s films will be shown outdoors in downtown Hood River at The Ruins at Springhouse Cellar. The Ruins, a picturesque amphitheater, are the remains of a historic Hood River distillery.
By focusing the lens on issues that matter, the Crag Law Center and HRVRC seek to empower local people to protect the natural beauty of their communities.
Tickets Advance tickets are available at Doug’s Sports, Waucoma books and Springhouse Cellar (one night - $10, both nights $18) and the evening will feature a raffle with a variety of prizes made possible by local donors.
Location Springhouse Cellars: 13 Railroad Ave (1st & Cascade). Enter @ Mt Hood Railroad
Time Doors open at 7:15 pm; Films at 8:00 pm.
